THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

You can never truly enjoy Christmas until you can look up into the Father’s face and tell him you have received his Christmas gift.
John R. Rice

CHURCH NOTICES

Red Bucket. The Christmas collection will be for C.A.P. (Christians Against Poverty), aiding people struggling with homelessness and unemployment, and those with debt problems.

Next Sunday. Please note that our Carol Service next Sunday, 15th December, will start at 10:30am.

Christmas flowers. If you are able to contribute towards the cost of flowers to decorate the church, would you please see Chris or Pauline after the service.  Thank you.

Services at Castle. There will be a regular 6:30pm Communion service at Castle Methodists Church on the third Sunday of each month, starting on Sunday 15th December. All are invited, especially members of the Town Centre benefice.

Diaries 2020. There will be no free diaries for 2020 as the company that provided them has ceased trading.

Epiphany Tea. We are thinking of having an afternoon tea with some entertainment, on Sunday 5th January at 3:00 pm.  If you would be interested, can you let Gill P. know. We could organise a Soup ‘n’ Snack lunch for those who would find it difficult to get home and back again.

Job Opportunity. The Elders of Lion Walk United Reformed Church are seeking to appoint a part-time Administrative Assistant to work alongside and support the voluntary officers of the church.   Closing date 01.03.20. The Job Description for this post, along with a Person Specification, can be found on the Church website, www.lionwalkchurch.org
