Parish Prayer Cycle: for all in our Parish who live or work in Queen Street, Short and Long Wyre Street, Eld Lane and Sir Isaac’s Walk.

Diocesan Prayer Cycle: for the work of the Essex Clergy Charity Corporation.

CHURCH NOTICES

Would you be interested in standing for the PCC? There is currently a vacancy on the PCC. If you would like further information, or to get a nomination form, please speak to the Vicar or contact the Parish Office.

The next Women’s Get Together is tomorrow, Monday 16th September, at 7:15pm at Castle Methodist Church. The topic is Retired Police Dogs. For more information, please contact Gill Poppleton (570725).

St Botolph’s Open Day. You are welcome to a Family Fun Day & Market in the Priory grounds on Saturday 21st September, 10am to 5pm. We hope to have a great day full of activities, music, street food, historical characters and children’s entertainment. No booking required.

All are welcome on Wednesday mornings at the midweek Holy Communion at St Peter’s. The service starts at 10:30am, finishes around 11:10am, after which many of the congregation head off for coffee together in town…

Harvest Community Event at Christ Church. Christ Church on Ireton Road is hosting a Harvest Barn Dance on Saturday 28th September at 7:00pm. Cost: Adults £12, children (under 14) £4, and includes a fish and chip supper. Tickets are available from Liz Bird (Administrator) via 542307, or barndance@colchesterchristchurch.org.uk Please book by Tuesday 24th September. Please think about coming along to what is always a very enjoyable evening and do invite family, friends, neighbours and colleagues.

Harvest Lunch  – 6th October. Please join us for a sausage and mash lunch after our service.  Tickets are now available from Pauline Palmer at £5.00 each. Any profit will go towards purchasing a new cooker for the kitchen.
