CYCLE OF PRAYER

Parish Prayer Cycle: for all in our Parish who live and work in Queen Street, Short and Long Wyre Street, Eld Lane and Sir Isaac’s Walk.

Daily Prayer Cycle: for the Street Pastors, SOS Bus & young people visiting night clubs.

Diocesan Prayer Cycle: for the Proctors and Laity of our Diocese who are members of the General Synod, that they may be filled with the wisdom and love of the Holy Spirit.

CHURCH NOTICES

The Red Bucket Collections at Christmas raised £246.46 for Christians Against Poverty (CAP). Thank you to all who gave.

WGT continues this Monday (13th Jan) at 7.15pm, at Castle Methodist, on Camino de Santiago (Dr. Paul & Mrs. Kerry Conn, open meeting). For more information, please contact Gill Poppleton (570725).

Vicarage Hour is this Wednesday — please feel free to drop into the Vicarage any time between 12 and 1pm on Wednesday to ask Mark a question, to raise a concern, or just for a chat!

Lent Modules 2020. Across the Diocese, leading up to Good Friday, there will be a series of courses offered, open to anyone. The cost varies from £0 to £40. For detailed information on the modules and how to book, please see poster in church or contact the Parish Office. The deadline for booking is 14th February. One of the free courses, Living Distinctively: A course on Christian Discipleship with regard to the environment, care for creation and the climate crisis, is led locally by Bishops and The Archdeacon of Chelmsford.

Sunday services and midweek meetings at Castle. There will be a regular 6:30pm Communion service at Castle Methodist Church on the third Sunday of each month. The next service is on Sunday 19th January. Castle also welcomes any member of the Town Centre Parish to their other meetings.
