St Botolph’s Church

The character of the Creator cannot be less than the highest He has created, and the highest is that babe born to Mary on that first Christmas morning.

(A. Ian Burnett)

Can we invite you to help us?

St. Botolph's Church in Colchester town centre has generated considerable goodwill over many years.  Alongside its regular use as a place of worship it is known to thousands for christenings, marriages, funerals and other special services, and the church building and adjacent rooms host many concerts and other activities.

Strenuous fundraising over the years has enabled the construction of a magnificent hall and many other improvements to ensure a welcoming venue.

You are invited to join the Friends and to support our work.  We ask for a minimum annual donation of £5.00 per person (£10.00 per couple) or £100.00 for life membership.  Completion of the Gift Aid section is encouraged to increase the value of your contribution.

Please download our Membership Application form and send the completed form to:

We had a very successful series of Wednesday Lunchtime recitals with a great variety of music and a high standard. Thank you everyone who came and enjoyed them. Although this was not the purpose of the recitals, over £1,000 has gone into the tower roof fund, so thanks to everyone who contributed for their generosity.

the AGM will take place in the Church Hall on Wednesday 25th April at 7.30pm
